At Hughes Gardens, our mission is to create beautiful and functional outdoor spaces that enhance the lives of our clients.
We also believe that growing one's own food can be a liberating experience that reconnects us with life's natural processes. Therefore we encourage our clients to include some food in their gardens; from a simple herb container, to a full food forest!

Hughes Gardens is a full-spectrum garden design and installation service, catering to clients who value care and craftsmanship in the work done on their property.
Our garden-creation services include; garden/outdoor space and permaculture/food forest design, consultations, irrigation system repair/design/installation, outdoor lighting, building of outdoor structures (pergolas, fences, decks, pathways etc.), contouring, plantings, integrated pest management, small tree pruning, fertilizing, sod instal, garden cleanup/revamp.

Food Forests & Permaculture
Permaculture design principals can be used, not only for creating gardens and food forests, but as a lifestyle design practice.
A major factor of using permaculture design on your land is the Food Forest.
Growing your own food is beneficial for so many reasons, including;
-Knowing exactly where your food is coming from
-Creating and maintaining a food source that you know is safe and healthy
-Learning, through experimentation, about what food plants work best in your location
-Contributing to the decentralization of the food supply
